2902 Aflas® Fluoroelastomer
Mosites #2902 is a 75 durometer high temperature resistant Aflas® fluoroelastomer compound. It has excellent resistance to acids, bases, high PH corrosion inhibitors, sour gas and oil, high pressure steam and alcohols. It is unusual in that it also has fair resistance to aromatic solvents and fuels, as well as low molecular weight esters and ethers. It has a service temperature range of –10 degrees F to 500 deg. F.
Mosites #2902 is not recommended for service in chlorinated solvents, Freon refrigerant, tetrahydrofurane solvent, acids, or hot water and steam.
The physical properties shown below were obtained on molded 0.080 inch thick ASTM samples. They are typical of Mosites #2902 but they should not be used to set Quality Control Specification minimum requirements.
